I will try to keep it short.

This time of year (the month of august) always makes me feel uneasy, uncomfortable and anxious. People heading off to their first year of UNI, experiencing new things, moving on with their lives. You know those movies where at the end you see the kids heading off to UNI. You know the “autumn leaves on campus”. You must have seen those movies where autumn at UNI is super romanticized.

I feel uneasy, uncomfortable and anxious because I never went to UNI. Thinking of all my peers doing thing I never got to experience. Sadly I'm a 'NEET' and have become a total recluse/hermit. Lots of people have told me “go outside, meet people”. That is easier said than done. I have no clue where to start or how to socialize. I need guidance, I need to be told what to do. My life growing up was mostly in isolation.

I don't know if it is anger or jealously? Because my life has come to a halt, I also demand that of others. I can’t stand others having lives, fun and experiencing things.

As new students are starting UNI, many of them will join student unions or organisations.
Each year in the media the issue of 'hazing ceremonies' pops up.

Why do people like summer so much?

When I was in highschool I worked landscaping, and I have no idea how I managed. I've had to spend 20k replacing 2 air conditioners in the last 2 years. I am so fucking sick of summer. I do not understand how anyone enjoys it. The Hvac guys always comment on how unused my heaters are because I keep everything at 50-55 in the winter. If it gets too cold I just build a fire or put on more clothes.

The heat itself doesn't bother me. Its when it is in the high 90s with humidity matching the temperature. When I went to Nevada before their 110 weather was like our mid 80s weather. Just walking outside for 30 minutes and you are drenched because the sweat doesn't evaporate.
