I've been lucky that people where I am from do not like the government, Fed specifically, so few are interested to actually turn you in.

The best tip I can give you is to operate essentially a contracting front. There are exemptions for contracting work I believe under 30k a year so operate your business this way to avoid any one getting suspect on you and wash a bunch of the money through there to look legit and keep a bunch of the job profits in Cash or Jewelry. That way you present as a successful business but as far as the government is concerned you're still unemployed just scraping by on some random labor contracting.
