TRVKE: There is nothing wrong about using Gomutra for medicinal purposes
Because Indian cow breeds aren't the same cows that are fattened up in industrial American farms using a meat based grain diet to then butcher them for beef and milk.
Indian cows raised for Gomutra in naturopathy clinics like vidrel are pasture raised, eat only grass, are free to roam in the sanctuary and are stress-free. Their diet is carefully monitored. Their urine is treated before being used as a medicinal ointment.
Me and my parents went to a yoga retreat once when I was 20. It was basically a yoga and Ayurveda naturopathy centre located at the foothills of the Sahyadri mountains in Maharashtra. Very scenic and beautiful place. We had bought a 2 week package that included massages, daily satvik meals (meaning no sugary items, no salt, no oils, no spices, just plain steam cooked vegetables and steamed rotis or rice and yogurt), enemas, among other things. There were a few foreigners too but mostly Indian crowd.
TLDR: We are unfairly demonized for this. You should try it once before kvetching. As an ointment or for body massages. Not drinking.
