What makes St. Louis so violent by the standards of American cities? Whose fault is this?

St. Louisan here. Niggers are violent, this is nothing new. But what makes St. Louis MORE violent is a statistical quirk due to the history of the cityโ€™s borders
Way back in the day the state of Missouri split city proper from its county and limited its natural boundaries due to a power struggle between the state and city.
Where most cities annexed surrounding land over time, the city proper was capped. This is more akin to the inner city of comparable sized metro regions like Memphis, KC, Cincinnati etc

So while stl does have a crime and nigger problem, it is amplified due to the statistics are calculated. This is not the only quirk this causes, and believe me itโ€™s caused a lot of problems because at a glance St. Louis is very small, with population declining. When in reality itโ€™s in (or at least recently was in) the top 10 most populous metro regions in the states with a growing population
