All the popular MMOs nowadays suck because you complete all the content in the latest expansion and get the Best-In-Slot gear, then it's like there's nothing to do but wait for the next expansion to do it all over again.
Everything is so streamlined and catered to the retards. There's vast beautiful open areas of the games that are devoid of any players because people just teleport to their destination or fly on their flying mounts straight to their destination.
Your life in the game basically means nothing because if you die, you're only mildly inconvenienced and simply have to run back to where you died and try again. HP and mana mean nothing because when combat ends, you're automatically restored to full HP and mana after 1 second.
All the dungeons and raids are instanced, so you don't run into other players doing the same content. Party finders suck because it ruins the immersion and social connections and bonding, it makes it so impersonal and disconnected, when MMOs are supposed to be social games.
Auction houses also ruin the social aspect of the game, it used to be fun finding someone who had the item you needed and bartering with them.
Combat is shit because it's just one or two tanks and everyone pumping out their damage spells while healers stay back and heal and you can't even see what's going on or who's casting what. They need to slow the combat down and make each ability or skill actually matter, and make mana management and aggro and positioning actually matter.
They need to make items and gear and stats actually matter and have value. I want to be able to trade my BiS gear or mounts or whatever if I want to trade it, I don't care if it pisses off the retards that mistakenly trade their good shit.
Make levels actually matter by making it hard to level up. If I see a level 80 character, I want to be like "HOLY SHIT HES LEVEL 80 HES A GOD!"
The only MMO I've played recently that does most of this shit right is Pantheon
