Everything at the top is theater. Too much money involved, too many powerful interests and Government agencies. So I'm part of that "Tinfoil conspiracy" group that assumes that the world is a stage. The political atmosphere just reflects where we are at in long term debt cycles 40-60 year cycles and this is referred to as "Turnings". We're entering the climax of the 4th Turning in the coming decade. So in that context, it's just another cycle.
