A dense cluster of nine faint, star-like sources that appeared on a single plate and were gone 30 minutes later. It was a tight, irregular grouping, not a line. This suggests either multiple objects in a close formation or a single, complex object with many reflective surfaces. The flashes were sharp points, not streaks. This is the critical piece of evidence suggesting the source was in a geosynchronous orbit (GSO), appearing stationary against the background stars. A natural object like an asteroid would have created a streak. The statistical probability of nine natural objects flaring up simultaneously in such a tiny patch of sky is effectively zero.

Event 2: The "UFO Flap" Triple Cluster (July 19, 1952)
This event is notable for its brightness and its remarkable timing. A tight, triangular cluster of three bright, point-like sources that appeared and vanished within the hour. Again, the sources were sharp points, reinforcing the GSO hypothesis. Their brightness and clarity make them impossible to dismiss as plate defects. A remarkable coincidence is that this event occurred on the same night as the famous 1952 Washington D.C. UFO flap, where unidentified objects were tracked on radar over the capital.

Event 3: The Triple Aligned Transient (August 26, 1956)
This event is scientifically the most robust and provides the strongest evidence for an orbital path. Three distinct, point-like flashes that fall on a perfect straight line. This event has a claimed statistical significance of being an artificial object as 99.87% The object was in a slightly inclined geosynchronous orbit, causing it to drift very slowly and create the linear path. Presented as the "smoking gun" for a single, artificial object moving in a controlled, engineered orbit. The combination of its linear path, point-like flashes, and lack of a streak is a unique signature that is a unique techno signature.

What could we detect back then we had radar right? No. Within days of Sputnik's launch in October 1957, existing radio and radar sites were repurposed to try and track it. The first dedicated US space-tracking radar, the AN/FPS-17, became operational in Turkey shortly afterwards. And it just so happens that all the objects in the plates disappeared at this exact same time. No further recordings were made in the Palomar plates past this artificial date.

here is the most recent paper that makes all of this new-ish. they refuted the last glimmer of pushback from the community. there are no arguments left anymore and other teams are discussing doing the same work to corroborate this. science is taking it serious. this isnt some kind of comet hype bs this is the real deal.
