1) Trump asked for the meeting, and suggested coming to America....for the "optics", Trump likes other leaders coming to 'his turf'.
2) Putin wants to show he is not afraid of grandiose claims of "arresting Putin on war crimes blah bla blah".....HOWEVER, Putin is within rescue distance & logistics by Russian military. [see#3]
3) Although Putin is not afraid of being arrested or whatever..he does understand a certain group would LOVE to assassinate Putin on American soil, sparking a war between NATO & Russia.

Alaska is the perfect place to fit 1,2, & 3. Only the USA has the logistical assets capable of striking Putin whilst visiting, and Putin is not afraid of Trump being so foolish.

Lastly...only a retard would believe "Alaska is rightful Russian clay". Quite a pathetic subversive attempt, really.
