This shit happened in my area recently. Emergency alert system sent out shelter in place warning without any details at all, literally just the words shelter in place.

Then like ten minutes later, they sent out another alert saying it only applied to a tiny area in a specific township and told everyone to stop calling 911 asking about the alert. The message also had like three spelling mistakes and no punctuation.

Then a few hours later the county police gave a press conference saying the whole thing was because of a software glitch and definitely not because of their retarded illiterate employees.

The coast smells different in different parts of the East Coast. I'm in New England now, and the tide smells weird af to me. It's not as strong of a smell, but it has kind of an earthy garbage smell to it.
