Even at a reasonable job, 8 hours is too much. Your diet and exercise routines fall apart, you start going without sleep just to get some 'me time.' It's not sustainable.

Then I relax for several months, sometimes a whole year, and then get another job.
I bought my house before prices went nuts, and I have no dependants.
