I don't think most people realize how antisocial and violent young children are. This is extremely common nowadays, and elementary schools try and hush it up because its too much of a hassle and embarrassment. Once these post covid kids start entering middle school/puberty there is going to be an epidemic of violence.

I used to draw violent shit all the time. I remember when I was around 7-8, during free time in class onc, I draw an entire war scene between little worm dudes. They were getting perforated, sliced up, exploded, lots of blood and gore. The teacher (male) was walking around, saw it, was a bit taken aback, but said it was interesting and I was good at depicting different scenes. My friends and I would routinely play make-believe gun games, pretend heads exploded, would draw either wicked need for speed cars or war scenes. We all grew out of it.

Though to be fair, it's a bit weird for a kid to purposely draw something like that when he knew the teacher was going to receive it and evaluate it. He definitely hasn't learned to hide it yet

As for elementary school, it's just that now culture is so anti-violence and anti-masculinity that they'd make a problem about stuff nobody cared about years ago. 20 years ago my friends and i were in school pretending to shoot at eachother, usually with one side being good guys and the other being nazis/soviets/arabs/union forces/injuns. I asked my dad and he said they did the same thing, shooting eachother and doing mock-scalpings on the schoolyard. Men and inherently drawn to violence, and children have no morals. Combine the two.

That's a little different though, because it's just a game and mimicking stuff they see on TV. I always liked violent games and movies but actual cruelty was disgusting to me. Scalping someone irl while they screamed in pain is a completely different thing. Groups of kids though could push each other into acting this way, if they needed to compete for comfort and necessity or something like that.

I agree academia as a whole is entirely feminized, but I still think that if I had submitted to the teacher a drawing of someone being sliced up, I would have either gotten a speaking-to, or my mum would have been told. I remember one class the teacher was reading some book about the Holocaust or maybe rape (when I went to school there were a lot of novels we had to read about rape and adultery for some reason) and we were allowed to draw during the reading. I'd draw massive stick figure battles with explosions and destroyed buildings everywhere. Some other teacher or aide would walk among our desks and when she saw my war doodles I got yelled at.
Every time I ever got yelled at or in trouble it was when I was drawing war, pretending to fight wars in recess, or sharing war games with my friends on our laptops in Middle School. I always assumed it was because the Columbine shootings were so recent, but now I think they were just being feminist cunts that were attempting to stop us from being normal boys. Maybe it all plays a part in so many modern men (especially my age cohort of early '90s births) turning out to be pussified and unconfident.
