That being said, I don't claim it to have happened from any moral high ground the most likely reason for slavery not really being a thing in Scandinavia was due to food being hard to come by and a slave is an extra mouth to feed which might just not be worth the hassle to have around, especially a bunch of them would mean bunch of mouths to feed.
And when Christianity came in the 11th century and the Viking age ended, slavery ended at that point too and Scandinavia was only really civilized and built after that so this region was definitely not built by slavery
