In case you hadn't noticed, he's backed off the H-1B bullshit because of the backlash he got over it. And Trump has even changed policy on it, requiring individual interviews to ensure that the person being hired is qualified, and changing the visa award from random to targeted at the highest-paid only.

This means that your basic fake-degree jeet who is hoping for a $30K/year IT job so that he can bring his entire family over and pop out some anchor babies with his wife (or anyone really) is going to languish in Bangalore while the $100K Belgian semiconductor engineer gets the visa.

It's not perfect, but it's an improvement over the unrestricted bullshit that has gone on for the last 25+ years.
