Trains make a little more sense for a population the size of china's. Americans arent overpopulated to the extent that everyone can own a car and just take the interstate between cities.

Meanwhile 2.2bn people on the road between even small towns in china would congest beyond belief.

American cities do have trains between townships and bigger cities say like Chicago which has a few rails to outer towns bussing people into the city but a trans continental railway say from new york to LA just would never have the capacity to make it profitable or worth while when you can just fly and it will take half the time.

People will say this makes the US look poor because we dont have Asia hyperloops. We could, but its useless and businesses arent going to invest in it.

There is nothing stopping smaller scale networks being successful across one or multiple smaller, more densely populated states, such as most the east coast.

Niggers are the bigger problem.

You do have a functioning railway system, for freight. It seems it's profitable, one of the few that don't need 50% taxation violence based funding to exist.
The vibrancy problem is severe though. Being a measly 6'1, I would never board a merican metro train in the evening, not without SMG, shotgun and a IIIa suit.

It seems not taxing them into poverty enabled 1/3 of college educated White men in America to effortlessly buy picrel at age 40.
They don't do it, because they like their Fords and Lincolns, but they could without feeling the 400k.
Such is life without getting managed by the government.

I'm sure all those miles of track would be:
-Donated by corporate or industrial landholders
-Paid for by the companies that would benefit and not gifted tax payer dollars.
-Seized at a "fair" price from countless 200 year old family homesteads
>choose one

Not too mention all the schemes that subsidize every non-white to ride for free with all their degenerate societal courtesy demonstrated en masse. A true utopia of travel.

Also this topic is stupid, I've traveled all over the country in trains. Cars are more convenient and you gan control where you go, where you stop, and when you stop.

We aren't anti-train. My office has a variety of blue and red types. Everyone wants a simple train to go to nearby major cities. Amtrak goes through our city, but it's Amtrak. There are like 5 major cities within about a 6 hour driving distance. A train to them would be great. The problem? All money we could use for infrastructure has gone to defense or Israel or special interests (really, take your pic); additionally, niggers.

We're also building a fuckton. Note I say BUILDING as in NOT DONE as in NOT READY TO BE USED. Shit takes time when your country is the size of europe and have the rockies/apalachia to barrel through. China's mountain ranges are much more brittle and easier to go through. The rockies are some of ths hardest materials on earth to blast through and would make even the swiss or norwegian fags blush.

The U.S. rail network, a mix of freight and passenger services, spans approximately 140,000 miles of track. Freight rail moves about 1.5 billion tons of goods annually, making it a crucial part of the nation's transportation system. Passenger rail, primarily served by Amtrak, saw 28.6 million passengers in 2023, the largest rails system in the world

The US is occupied from a foreign, UK/European cabal that doesn't give a sht about American infrastructure. Our taxes are to be laundered and stolen around the clock. The US Amtrak rail system is an outdated, disgusting third world hunk of garbage. The bathrooms are vile shtholes from 1974. Shockingly dumpy. The train stations are typically the same. Cheap, dogsht smelly municipal buildings that haven't changed in decades. And depending on the rail line youre apt to have a fair share of nggers and mental patients. America is a dumpster.

>America is a dumpster.
It truly is. Combine that with COVID disregarding any last remaining senses of public shame/decorum, it would be a disaster. We cannot have nice things in this country. The public seems to be noticing this, though, so maybe it changes. It will have to unless we want crumbling Interstates, bridges, etc. I wish we had a high-quality Shinkansen system here. I've ridden from Tokyo to Utsunomiya/Sendai while on business numerous times and it was incredible.
