When I was 17, me and my fat friend Gary were standing outside a gas station loitering while waiting for a friend to come pick us up. I was acting like a tough guy and scowling and glaring at people walking past for no particular reason.

A nigger didn't like how I was looking at him and starting to talk trash. Feeling the invincibility of youth, I started walking toward him and he jumped in his car and drove off, shouting something indecipherable at us.

Gary was impressed and I was feeling tough as shit. Five minutes later, the nigger came back with two friends. The three of them jumped out of the car and beat the living shit out of Gary and ignored me totally. They jumped back in the car, laughed at us, and drove away.

I feel like there was a lesson there somewhere, but I never quite figured it out.

Grew up in a pretty bad part of Berlin. Fights were super common. Think in my teens I probably averaged 1-2 fights per month. But it was mostly fairly harmless, worst things that happened were a few broken noses. Not like today were seemingly every other fight ends with someone getting stabbed or beaten into a coma.

Yes, once. I stole a guy's gf in high school and he didn't like that. He confronted me in the parking lot about it after school. For like a minute or two we were just talking like bros because we knew each other and played baseball growing up and it didn't seem like it was going to escalate into violence and then out of nowhere he throws a nasty left hook which made me see stars but didn't knock me out and so we fought until someone else broke it up. He bested me that day, everyone saw it, but I managed to catch him with a sick elbow during the tussle that broke his nose and busted a blood vessel in the corner of his eye. So in the days/weeks after this fight took place it looked like he was the one who got beat up because all I had was a busted lip and some bruises on my forearms from blocking his flurry of punches. We actually became close friends after that and all was forgiven. We even partied together at senior week a few months later.

Got chonked up by a nigger in prison. He started on the back of my head, but that was my fault for thinking he wouldn't do shit. Spit part of my lip out and told him he hits like a bitch, and we got back into it. After taking 8 solid shots to the dome I picked up my store bag and went to chow. His hands blew up like balloons, but I didn't swell up anywhere, so I made a joke "I beat his hands up with my face". He got a kick out of that and we were cool with eachother then on. Respect goes a long way, and if the person you lost a fight to has any sense of honor, then they may very well end up becoming your greatest ally. After that fight I had all the negroid shot callers asking me if I wanted free tooch and subs. Had a guy offer me a TV for nothing, but didn't take him up on it. Everyone thought I was gonna snitch Rambo out after the fight, even told me to lock up, but I stood my ground and gained enormous amounts of respect for it. It also helped with my shirt cleaning side hustle. Every nig was coming to me to clean grime and bloodstains out of their thermals after that. I was making 120 bucks a month!

Only real fight I was ever in was when I was a sophomore in high school and this kid on the wrestling team with a lazy eye started shoving me in weight training class while we were doing warmup laps on the upper track of our indoor gym. It was like a square track overlooking the gymnasium that had a safety rail. He started shoving me while running near me and I just punched him in his face hard and sent him reeling back and kinda stumbling, but then he came back at me with force and that's when I learned not to let your opponent recover, because we started trading blows and getting hit like that in the face and head is disorienting as hell. He kept trying to get me off balance so he could get me on the ground, but somehow I kept planting myself firmly no matter how hard he tried and when the rest of the class caught up to us during their laps they stood there and watched as I held the dude's head in my right arm while punching the top of his head with my left. Those punches couldn't have hurt much because I did not have great leverage from that stance, but it was satisfying to hear other kids later say that seeing me headlock that dude and punching him in the head was what they remember about the fight. My friend who was near me from the start but never intervened (as he shouldn't have, it was a fair 1v1) told me my first punch was really solid but then it looked like we were both out of our element, and I have to agree with that. Overall, it felt like neither of us won and we both came away with black eyes and that's about it. I got suspended from school for a week and he got in school suspension for 3 days. Turns out he was in the slow kid classes, so I kinda beat on a retard a little bit. It was weird because like a week before I watched him pin this dude that was way bigger than me in an impromptu sparring session in that gym, but my skinny ass avoided hitting the floor. Guess he didn't know how to fight once blows were dealt.

2) I called some girl an idiot while she was discussing politics at the bar and her bf or whatever was 6'8 and 300+ pounds confronted me. I didn't back down at all and it got pulled apart. I'm 6'2 on a good day and 230+ pounds so I probably could have survived but it wouldn't have been pretty

3) I drunkenly ran through an event that had chairs and tables set up and I went and flipped everything I could like a tornado and ran away

Never, out of school, only shit talk. In school I had some fights but there really wasn't any permanent injures, just kids tier punches. Getting into a fight as an adult is different, there is always a potential to be fucked for good, so I try to avoid it.
Martial arts are a good way to "learn" how to land and tank hits, lots of people are not used to either one.

One of my first fights was supposed to be 1on1 but the other "fren" jumped in and they both attacked. So I ran to mommy at the kitchen window. She shut the window so I had to just go nuts until they stopped. I work as a prison officer so I have to restrain and fight with people quite a lot. Most of the time I have the numbers advantage as it's like 3 staff to one prisoner, but I did have a 1v1 where some juicehead was throwing me around the landing. He was straight up stronger than me and I got tackled into a wall and nearly body slammed multiple times. I have him a black eye for the trouble but without backup arriving the guy would have destroyed me. Thankfully only a few cuts and bruises. I've also been bitten, punched etc.

The only time I took any damage was getting sucker punched while my mouth was open. My lower teeth went through the area between my lower lip and my chin. That was so lame. Used to get beat up until I started martial arts. It took a while but when I learned Dim Mak, bullies became instinctively leery of me. I would just give the "the look" and they would back down right away. I'm more scared of hurting other men now than I am of being attacked. And yes, that includes by anyone with a gun or knife (been in multiple knife fights and won them all).
