Hic igitur, diuinae inspirationis instinctu, haec omnia praedixit, & in lucem edidit, ut Christiani spe firmati, & in fide corroborati, aduersus inimicos fortiter dimicent, & uictoriam obtineant.

And since all things converge on this conclusion—both divine voices and the oracles of the prophets, which are contained in the Holy Scriptures, and the predictions of holy men—there is no doubt that it will soon come to pass that Christians will possess the world, and the Turks will be cast into utter ruin. For He is the true God who has foretold all these things, and it cannot possibly happen that His truth should fail. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, who wrote these things, was a man renowned for his sanctity and learning, and so erudite in all languages that he was scarcely ignorant of any kind of idiom. Thus, inspired by divine inspiration, he foretold all these things and published them, so that Christians, strengthened by hope and confirmed in faith, might fight bravely against their enemies and obtain victory.

Furthermore, the same prophecy contains that, after the destruction of the Turks, Christians will come together in one faith and religion, and there will be one sheepfold and one shepherd. This, however, will come about through a certain extraordinary man who will arise from the East and will obtain dominion over the entire world. This man, renowned for his virtue and sanctity, will subdue all nations and establish peace throughout the whole world. The time of this empire has not yet been revealed, but it is certain, from divine oracles, that it will soon come to pass.

Insuper, Prophetia haec indicat, quod antequam haec omnia fiant, multa signa in coelo & in terra apparebunt, quae homines ad poenitentiam & emendationem uitae inuitabunt. Stellae quaedam nouae in coelo uidebuntur, & ignes mirabiles, qui terrorem & admirationem parient. In terra autem terraemotus, pestilentiae, & bella cruenta fient, quae omnia praenunciabunt appropinquantem diem iudicii. Rabi Joseph Aegyptus haec omnia diligenter conscripsit, & admonuit Christianos, ut his signis praeparati, in fide & spe permaneant, & aduersus omnes tribulationes fortiter resistant.

Moreover, this prophecy indicates that before all these things come to pass, many signs will appear in the heavens and on earth, which will invite people to repentance and the amendment of their lives. Certain new stars will be seen in the sky, and wondrous fires, which will cause terror and astonishment. On earth, meanwhile, there will be earthquakes, pestilences, and bloody wars, all of which will foretell the approaching day of judgment. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus diligently recorded all these things and admonished Christians to remain prepared by these signs, to persevere in faith and hope, and to bravely resist all tribulations.

Furthermore, it is said in the same prophecy that the Turks, before their destruction, will be divided into three parts, and, being discordant among themselves, will more easily be overcome by Christians. This, however, will come about through a certain Christian prince who will come from the North and, with a great army, will crush the Turks. This prince, renowned for his virtue and wisdom, will stir the admiration of the whole world, and his name will reach all nations. The time of this victory is not yet certain, but it is evident from divine promises that it will soon come to pass.

Adhuc amplius, Prophetia haec declarat, quod post uictoriam Christianorum, & Turcarum excidium, Ierusalem ciuitas sancta a Christianis recuperabitur, & in ea templum Domini magnificentius instaurabitur.

Furthermore, this prophecy declares that after the victory of the Christians and the destruction of the Turks, the holy city of Jerusalem will be recovered by Christians, and in it, the temple of the Lord will be restored more magnificently. This, however, will come about through a universal gathering of Christians, who will come together from all parts of the world and will agree in one faith. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, a man full of divine inspiration, prophesied all these things and exhorted Christians to persevere in the hope of this glorious outcome and to strive for this goal with all zeal.

Likewise, in the same prophecy, it is foretold that after this recovery of Jerusalem, many prodigies and miracles will occur, which will convert people to the true faith. Nations that previously did not know Christ will come to acknowledge Him, and the entire world will unite in one religion. This time will be the beginning of the kingdom of God on earth, and perpetual peace will reign among men. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, at the conclusion of his prophecy, admonishes all to fix these words in their hearts and to turn themselves to virtue and piety, so that they may be worthy of such a great divine blessing.

Post cuius destructionem, ultimum iudicium appropinquabit, & omnes gentes coram Deo iudicabuntur. Rabi Joseph Aegyptus, haec omnia diuinitus inspiratus, conscripsit, & fideles admonuit, ut uigilantes in oratione & uirtute permaneant, ne in illo tempore deceptionibus Antichristi succumbant.

Beyond these things, this prophecy warns that in that time when Christians recover Jerusalem, many of the Jews will convert to the Christian faith and will unite with Christians. This, however, will come about through the preaching of a certain holy man who will arise from the East, and whose teaching and miracles will lead many to Christ. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, in his prophecy, clearly foretold all these things and exhorted Christians to receive the Jews with charity and mercy and to invite them to the true faith.

Moreover, it is said that after all these things, the Antichrist will come into the world, but his reign will be brief, and he will soon be destroyed by Christ the Lord. After his destruction, the final judgment will draw near, and all nations will be judged before God. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, divinely inspired, recorded all these things and admonished the faithful to remain vigilant in prayer and virtue, lest in that time they succumb to the deceptions of the Antichrist. These are the things contained in the prophecy, which are set forth for Christians for the glory of God and the salvation of their souls.

Finis Prophetiae.

Therefore, with all these things contained in the prophecy carefully considered, it is clear that Almighty God has called Christians to glory and triumph and has destined their enemies, namely the Turks, to utter ruin. For this reason, all the faithful are to be exhorted to remain steadfast in faith and hope, to bravely resist all tribulations, and to strive with all zeal for the glory of God and the spread of the Christian faith. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, a holy and divinely inspired man, prophesied all these things so that Christians, strengthened by these promises, may grow in virtue and piety.

Finally, this prophecy concludes that all these times and events that have been foretold will come to pass soon, and that God will fulfill all these things by His power. The faithful, therefore, are admonished to persevere in prayer and repentance and to prepare themselves with a holy life, so that they may be worthy to share in the divine promises. This prophecy, written by Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, has been published so that all Christians, both present and future, inspired by these words, may attain victory and eternal salvation. The end of the prophecy.
