Praeterea, in eadem Prophetia continetur, quod post Turcarum excidium, Christiani in unam fidem & religionem conuenient, & unum erit ouile, & unus pastor. Hoc autem fiet per uirum quendam eximium, qui ex Oriente orietur, & totius orbis imperium obtinebit. Hic uir, uirtute & sanctitate praeclarus, omnes gentes subiget, & pacem in uniuerso orbe constituet. Tempus autem huius imperii nondum est manifestatum, sed certum est, ex diuinis oraculis, quod breui futurum sit.

And since all things converge on this conclusion—both divine voices and the oracles of the prophets, which are contained in the Holy Scriptures, and the predictions of holy men—there is no doubt that it will soon come to pass that Christians will possess the world, and the Turks will be cast into utter ruin. For He is the true God who has foretold all these things, and it cannot possibly happen that His truth should fail. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus, who wrote these things, was a man renowned for his sanctity and learning, and so erudite in all languages that he was scarcely ignorant of any kind of idiom. Thus, inspired by divine inspiration, he foretold all these things and published them, so that Christians, strengthened by hope and confirmed in faith, might fight bravely against their enemies and obtain victory.

Furthermore, the same prophecy contains that, after the destruction of the Turks, Christians will come together in one faith and religion, and there will be one sheepfold and one shepherd. This, however, will come about through a certain extraordinary man who will arise from the East and will obtain dominion over the entire world. This man, renowned for his virtue and sanctity, will subdue all nations and establish peace throughout the whole world. The time of this empire has not yet been revealed, but it is certain, from divine oracles, that it will soon come to pass.

Insuper, Prophetia haec indicat, quod antequam haec omnia fiant, multa signa in coelo & in terra apparebunt, quae homines ad poenitentiam & emendationem uitae inuitabunt. Moreover, this prophecy indicates that before all these things come to pass, many signs will appear in the heavens and on earth, which will invite people to repentance and the amendment of their lives. Certain new stars will be seen in the sky, and wondrous fires, which will cause terror and astonishment. On earth, meanwhile, there will be earthquakes, pestilences, and bloody wars, all of which will foretell the approaching day of judgment. Rabbi Joseph Aegyptus diligently recorded all these things and admonished Christians to remain prepared by these signs, to persevere in faith and hope, and to bravely resist all tribulations.

Furthermore, it is said in the same prophecy that the Turks, before their destruction, will be divided into three parts, and, being discordant among themselves, will more easily be overcome by Christians. This, however, will come about through a certain Christian prince who will come from the North and, with a great army, will crush the Turks. This prince, renowned for his virtue and wisdom, will stir the admiration of the whole world, and his name will reach all nations. The time of this victory is not yet certain, but it is evident from divine promises that it will soon come to pass.
