Other way around, when the majority age dropped to 18 from 21 under Nixon, there wasn't a massive increase in the amount of 40yo + 18yo couples, likewise when Ataturk hiked the Turkish age of majority to 21 from the Ottman age of majority of 15 there wasn't a massive decrease in the amount of 40yo + 15yo couples because there weren't that many to begin with.
