Nah people were always crazy but in the past we had the magical worldview, so a crazy person could attain high levels of status by being a prophet or mystic or whatever. Now we know people aren’t possessed by angels/demons and god isn’t speaking to them, they’re just nuts.

Mental problems are recognized in the modern age, before you'd be called weird and marginalized and be done with, nobody would bother to diagnose you, either you shape up or sit on the sideline and barely make it by.

Yes. Anyone with mental problems wouldn't be able to reproduce way back then because nature weeded them out. But now modern society has made it so that people that have no business reproducing are now able to do so, thus passing on their defective genes. I'm afraid that it'll only get worse from here.

This. Sure there were geniune mental cases back in the day, but a lot of it is that our environment and communities have changed and society just tells people who struggle with it that they're the problem.
We've advanced too fast, and our biological "operating system" isn't able to keep up.

no, but back then were different duo to multiple reasons, now the majority are attention whores, a tool to make money for the Big Pharma and because modern society issues (the death of communities, barely any love and God, extreme consumerism, Hedonism and nihilism, cities and the destruction of nature etc)
You could say the same thing about so many diseases who are caused by modern society, but don't worry because things will get way worse in the next decades

some people just give no fucks into social dynamics, I don't think she's crazy at all, matter of fact I think she is more lucid than the npc drones acting 'how they should'. thinking about it the actual insane ruckus making people are probably the only ones acting properly since society is at a bin burning, stone throwing, table flipping breaking point and the fact people can chill because they have a few episodes to binge at home is fucking crazy
