I had bad acne until I gave up cheap cheese & milk chocolate. The genetic factor is it affected me while not other, still I learned to control it. Dark chocolate tastes better anyway, and though it's more expensive obviously but expensive cheese tastes better too. I believe the cow outputs a hormone when ovulating which causes acne. My guess is the milk from that time is put into junk food.

I've had bad acne all my life that was due to overly sensitive skin because my mother was a germaphobe and would wash me 50 times a day as a baby thinking I needed it. Gave me hyper sensitivity (lifelong) to chemicals, dirt, and dust. Slightest bit of dirt causes me to break out horrible, mainly on my face. So I grew a beard.
I look like bigfoot, but it's the only way I can appear normal. I shave the beard and you'd see that.
