Russia, except under the Tsars for a few centuries, has never had a codified, lasting, reliable system of succession, and of course Russia has always been under one-man rule during any system of government that the country has had (Tsarism, Sovietism, and the new Russian Federation "republicanism" or whatever it is). I'm not saying this as a criticism of Russia, since I like and admire Russia quite a bit and am something of a Russophile, but yeah, a stable system for political succession would be beneficial, and this applies to every country/state/

Hey you're right, when I worked with a bunch of Finns here in US, they all looked a bit like putin... like blonde blue eyed asian/white mix people. There is probably going to be a collapse after the death of Putin. Sure he may have picked Medvedev as his successor, but there are numerous factions under the Putin regime which Putin has been balancing carefully during his time in office, once he has died these factions will start jockeying for power and it is unlikely they will find a common ground to agree upon. I don't think its outside the realm of possibility that we get a fall of the USSR 2.0 after his death or perhaps regardless within the next 10 years.
