When people get old they get sick this is just a fact of life. If you just look at the studies you'll find out everything in bad for you in one way or another. I wouldn't be surprised if scientist found that breathing gave you cancer. You live life and eventually you get sick and die. The first people did this and without a medical revolution every human alive will experience this unless they prematurely die. The hospitals might kill people, but they aren't doing it intentionally and they aren't the ones that caused the underlying illness. They are just trying to treat it and sometimes the treatment is too much for the patient to take. Why should we get mad and blame the doctor for trying to help?

Sometimes the issue that you have is unfixable by modern medicine and they only have treatment as a means to deal with the issue. The perfect example is cancer. We don't have a cure we have treatments. Cancer is a product of mutation so its hard to find a silver bullet cure. And what is taxol? The miraculous first and only line of defense given to millions of cancer patients a year?

It's some toxic gunk they found in the bark of the highly poisonous yew tree in the 1960s.

It's the reason many cancer survivors end up with vision loss, or with badly damaged cognitive abilities, or unable to walk properly. Does it kill cancer? Yeah technically it kills that too.
