I'm 35 but I'm not exactly poor, I just use money stupidly. I spent $800 on Doordash this last month. I just like when wagies deliver me food. I don't have any other hobbies or a girlfriend

I don't think age is a necessary indicator; choices at certain points in your life is more critical.

If you can avoid those three bad decisions, you have a good chance. Companies can employ you, and get you on company insurance. You can be trusted with money and customers. You can be left alone with valuable stock, etc.

Blew up variations 10x and fuck the client, micro-manage struggling sole traders who are making 0% profit to ensure top quality. He always said to find the bloke who had just divorced his wife, paying child support because they’re desperate.

No, you can be 35 and poor, work hard all your life and get side lined by internal corporate Indian and Chinese "mafia" types.

The only real way to escape the "rat race" is to have a very successful startup, be a great salesmen or "brand influencer", or be great with markets. None of these are really skills you can go to school for, and none of them guarantee you anything but a basic living if you master them.

I've been successful in markets ( stock and crypto ) but its mostly been being at the right place at the right time and some lucky guesses.

No they don't. There are many risks and challenges in life but how you navigate them is 100% on you. Some people have more risks due to circumstance but they refuse to understand them and end up poor. You'd have to make a lot of bad choices to go down from whatever class you were born into.
