The first women's school in America, Bethlehem Female Seminary, was founded in 1742. If you're looking for a secular institution Salem College was in 1772. If you're looking for a institution the federal government recognized college was the 1787 "Young Ladies' Academy of Philadelphia".
So it is true if you were a woman in the 1750s you really had very few options for higher education. I get that some jewish professor told you that early colonists were actually secretly all repressed homosexuals, but there is a lot of evidence to indicate exposure to pornography, or molestation are the primary causes of the prevalence of homosexuality today.
Obviously molestation, and bigamy has been illegal in every "50s" you can look at. Bigamy is still technically illegal in most states, it's just not enforced. While some states charged people for engaging in sex outside of wedlock, and prosecuted adultery, prosecution of homosexuals who weren't engaging in perverse behavior wasn't really a thing in the 1950s, so in spite of the attire the only possible 50s it could take place in was the 1850s ,as in the 1750s you wouldn't even say you were from "America", you wouldn't know what polio was, and you really couldn't get a daily dose of drugs, never mind a "shit ton".
A fun fact, it used to be fairly easy to get a drug addict committed, so getting her treatment would have been much easier. So the only semi-plausible, and not outright false bad thing you have here is polio, but disease was actually a bit rarer then, as air travel has allowed instant global dissemination of every pathogen in every part of the world.

Fun fact, SSRIs were invented in the 1980s, 16% of women are on them. This is 190% of the rate of total people prescribed any long term medication in 1943.
