Wozniak has something much better than wealth - a reputation. He's a made man who accomplished something for which he is always recognized. Woz is the kind of guy who can eat for free anywhere he goes. That's better than money.

And yet almost everyone thinks he's a cunt and hates him as a person. The absolute failure of a human being even refused to acknowledge his own daughter, only naming a PC after her when he received bad press for refusing to acknowledge his daughter and pay his child care

Difference between fame and notoriety.

Every hacker knows who he is.

Actually it's the wrong word here (I'm ESL).
I don't mean famous in a bad way, but known to circles where it matters.

Best estimates worth $140mil USD. Now take into account everyone worth over $10mil are pretty good at hiding money and nest eggs through trust accounts and OS tax havens you could safely triple that net worth. A real battler doing it tough with the rest of us..

My computer science teacher once said this and I laughed and called this guy an idiot and he went into a 10 minute red faced rant before kicking me out for the day.

I hate academia.

he's worth $100M fwiw
still pretty based.. but i'd be pretty fucking based too if i was a genius worth $100M

he (apparently) gave a large number of his stocks away to early Apple employees that Steve Jobs didn't grant stock options for
that's incredibly based.

Kinda reminded me in a previous job when I wanted to leave and the CEO was trying to bribe me with money to stay, and I told him 'I don't care about money' and he paused for a second or so then said in a surprise 'what do you care about then?'
Crazy how people made money as their god of some sort

getting favors out of true goodwill for your reputation are much better then paying for service. some persons are unable to feel this due to lack of soul/intelligence.
