Too many pocket lights in random places, uncentered non-complimentary coloured cabinets. Ugly empty space above cabinets exaggerates the fact that they aren’t centered. Useless windowed cabinets near the ceiling and above the rangehood. Also the countertop and backsplash are hideous. Flooring was either not squared when installed or is just an ugly pattern with an odd angle on it for no apparent reason. Gives the appearance of the house being on a slope. Cabinets directly above a door is also just dumb as fuck. Imagine needing something from one of those cabinets when someone is trying to come in the kitchen, just awkward.

All of this is ugly and looks slapped together out of leftover parts or stolen from random jobsites.

It’s definitely functional for storage but you need a ladder to get most of the cabinets . The glass ones are to showcase stuff. I just have no idea what you would store in the cabinets above the doorway. If you store something in kitchen you probably have some eventual use for it. So you’d need a step ladder in the house just for that ?…

Aside from the fact that I am not a licensed homebuilder and would not be able to build anything besides a basic wooden shack, it's a nightmare to do in Canada because of all the paperwork and permits needed. It's also very expensive, the cost of materials has gone up a lot. You can't really get away with building a 2500 square foot house in Vancouver or Toronto for less than 800-900k unless you are willing to significantly compromise quality, you'll also need to use worse labourers (Indians).

I dont hate it, marble is a good choice and the wood looks good. Lights are a bit fucked and the flooring looks diagonal in relation to the interior? I would take this kitchen over my little nook with two electric stovetops any day.
