Why were boomers such terrible parents? They were the first group to normalize divorce and abandon historical responsibilities/behavior once associated with families.

In the past your goal as parent was to create a legacy of success, boomers completely abandoned that responsibility.

By the end of the war, the best and brightest had all been killed off, and they were drafting literal car thieves, rapists, retards, pedophiles, male prostitutes and illiterates. Gen-x here. Boomer mom is vacuous and insufferable. I don't blame boomer dad from wanting to distance himself from her. He shouldn't have knocked her up but boys will be boys.

Every generation has its pros and cons. They did their best and instead of dwelling on such things, look to focusing on yourself and how you can make the world a better place.
