I live in western NC. Last September my town and the towns up the valley from us were destroyed by Hurricane Helen.

The Amish who don't even live in this state, came down from Pennsylvania to help rebuild people's homes for free. They're still here nearly a year later helping people. They may be Luddites; but they've earned my respect for life. They're good people.

I used to regularly buy lambs and pigs from the Amish here, sometimes beef too. They are fucking disgusting people. Slightly better than third worlders. Their small farms are usually a mess, they all smell like shit, their Children of the Corn kids look like they've never seen a human before whenever any non-Amish pulls up, etc. Too much shit to list but they're basically white Mexicans stuck in the 1800s with a dumb religion. No thanks. And for all of their le based trad shit, they don't even know how to properly skin an animal most of the time. Stopped buying from them because of the dumb shit they do. The auctions they host are grim as fuck too. If you ever come here go to one of them. I hate how terminally online types hype up these white gypsies.
