I feel bad because this person (assuming benevolent intent) is probably just trying to find a way to be more comfortable and confident, but in the process they weaponize your thoughts and instincts and turn every interaction with them into a chore. They become toxic by proximity, and coerce you into a set of beliefs. It's revolting in an abstract way, and I can't even blame them.
