Your DVDs are gonna stop working long before the internet stops. Decentralized style storage across the internet using whatever users nodes medium of choice is the better option in every way. Torrents solve for this. You should be encouraging people to seed instead of building a private archive they can never use.

Hard drives (HDDs): average lifespan 5–10 years. Vulnerable to drops, power surges, mechanical failure, and moisture/mold.

Solid state drives (SSDs): generally 10–15 years if powered and used, but unpowered NAND can start losing data in as little as 5–10 years.

EEPROMs are just flash storage and will begin to lose cohesion in 20-40 years, EPROMs are similar and depend on transistor states that can be changed by massless particles that can’t be stopped like neutrinos. Mask ROMs are printed on stone and are theoretically good long term but you need billions of dollars to be able to do this or get very lucky finding mothballed equipment from the 70s and teaching yourself how to make microchips and good fucking luck with that. People have been working on crystal storage since before your mother had hair on her pussy and that hasn’t even reached the industrial market let alone the consumer market. So that leaves stone and you can’t put microscopic writing on it as it can be easily weathered. My proposal: Audio records made of a fluorine based material that don’t ever decay and can be played with a needle and paper cone run along the tracks. That should theoretically be viable until the end of time.

DVDs aren't permanent, especially writable DVDs. They last a couple of decades and then the disc itself starts to rot. If you want longer term then you will need to transfer things to a different format. M Discs are supposed to last for centuries, but are more expensive and you'll need a compatible drive to read and write them.
