But the issue is, can I use a VPN safely while also posting on 4chan with 4chan pass? Or is this actually prohibited? I will probably have to resign to just lurking for the foreseeable future in that case but I would like to be able to post when I need to still.

Should I get a 4chan pass and use my VPN like so or do I need to do something else?

It's not prohibited. You can use VPNs with a pass, but you have to wait 10-15 mins each time you change your IP, before you can post again.

No, if you haven't posted for a while it counts as your 10-15 min window. It's only if you disconnect and rejoin another server or some shit. It's not a big deal, I just mentioned it as it's the only limitation with using a VPN with a pass.

It was explained really badly. A pass is IP locked for an hour. As in; if you are using a pass and switch IP you gotta wait an hour to post with that new IP.

If the 15 mins or whatever aren't up yes. Although, my VPN provider sometimes gives me a different IP, as I can only choose the specific country. There might a dozen or more servers for whatever country I pick, and it seems to assign them randomly (or more likely based on server load).

Yes, as long as your gubbimnt doesn't ban VPNs that is. All bots use a pass and a VPN fine.

I think you might get two IP addresses because I have no problem posting from my phone on the same pass even though it's connected to mobile

you are so lucky

a commercial VPN service will have plenty of IP addresses you can use. Free ones, predictably, are often banned and you learn that while trying to post. If youre logged in with a pass theres no problem
