Croatia: A corpse of a dead German tourist was laying the whole day on the street in the scorching heat with ants, flies and wasps crawling over it after ambulance dumped it there after she died


A 76-year-old German tourist died on the island of Pašman yesterday. The woman fell ill on the beach, and although emergency doctors tried to resuscitate her in the vehicle, she eventually died.

Peternel: Ambulance left German woman's body on the road on Pašman

DOMiNO MP Igor Peternel, who witnessed the event, posted a photo of the body covered with a sheet on social media. "I personally saw the resuscitation in the ambulance. After an unsuccessful intervention, the woman died, and the ambulance team took the body out onto the road next to the church and left. Witnesses say she had been lying there for several hours and that ants,flies, wasps and other insects were crawling on her body," Peternel said.

Peternel warns of serious system failures. "Where are the police and the coroner? Where are we living," the MP asked. "Her family will make a serious international scandal out of this, this is outrageous," he added to Index.

We have sent an inquiry to the Zadar County Emergency Medicine Institute about this incident, and we will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
