Armed struggle against an occupational force that seeks to expel and kill your people is never wrong. Once you bring the chain of cause-and-effect far back enough you'll see that the Israelis are the aggressors. Any other narrative requires depriving the entire situation of its historical context.
If a group of armed robbers broke into your house and wanted to kill you and take your stuff, is it wrong to defend yourself? Lets say they capture you and your family and then lock them up in your basement, and start living in the house as if it were their own. They toss scraps down to you but they also beat the shit out of you every now and then and break stuff down there. One or two of your family members were already executed.
Lets say one day that your family had a chance to escape. Doing so would require violence against the men who occupied your house. Lets say the robbers brought some family over, who are perfectly aware of the situation but support it entirely. Sure they didn't do this to you and your family personally, but they're with those who did and are in full support of them.
Would you have any problem with the family that's been locked in the basement using any means necessary to expel the occupiers from their house, including taking their lives?
