I unironically think of myself as an AI artist.
The confusion arises from people who spent years developing their skills as illustrators assuming I am comparing my skills to theirs.
I don't. They draw lines, design brush sets, and stack layers. I write prompts, apply LoRAs, and tweak scalars. Totally different skill set,
though I do apply some line technique when shooping out backgrounds when creating pose templates.
Let's assume I'm the worst at the world at it if that makes everyone feel better.
Thing is all these people who have great illustrator skills could be leaving all of us in the dust if they just swallowed their pride and realized they can use AI to cut down 99% of the time they spend shading, deleting, adjusting line strength, shading, and deleting again just to create a 3D effect Fren Computer could spit out in 30 seconds.
I mean pick your least favorite part of the process, let Fren Computer take care of it, and then focus on those elements you do care about.
It's just another tool in your already largely digitized toolset.
