Semi trucks are rated for 1 million miles pulling 80,000 pound trailers. That thing has never done hard work in its life, its barely broken in.

commercial diesels are considered broken in at around 200k
they run over 1,000,000 miles before needing an engine swap or rebuild, which are not that expensive considering trucking has a lot of shops specialized for commercial tractors and plenty of supply for replacement parts.

They obviously aren't seething, they are pointing out the obvious that truck miles are not equatable to what you would expect on a personal passenger vehicle. 200k would be considered "low mileage" for a commercial truck, something akin to 10-15k for a car. being smug and incorrect is very jeet-like behavior, so I will assume that is the case here.

Nah we ended up with those unreliable piles of shit unfortunately. They are everywhere. We use to have cast iron blocks, on truck chassis for vans. They lasted forever, they were bullet proof and easily repaired. Since our car companies went full globohomo you got our muscle cars and we got....... these fucking awful pile of shit top heavy vans and micro machines.

All I can think of is A. our difference of fuels, here in the states it's all petrol, you guys seem to use diesel more often.
also B. Can't help but wonder if our emissions standards are more retarded than yours. In my failed state of california we water our gas down with corn water which destroys motors (mostly seals and gaskets), and we will often force manufacturers to put an unnecessary second catalytic converter that forces the vehicle to get even worse gas mileage than it already did from the factory.
But yea from Ford, to Metris, to Dodge to Mercedes, the euro style vans are basically tall cars. Their engines work ten times harder to get up to the speed limit and never seem to reach the high mileage of our older style van.
