American "Nazis" aren't truly Nazis. They are racial supremacists, drawn to the aspects of Nazism that align with their views. Most of them are unaware that Nazism is a fascist ideology in which the individual is subordinate to the state, the motherland, the fatherland, or the federal government. They fail to recognize that the American Constitution, including the First and Second Amendments, is rooted in classical liberalism and fundamentally incompatible with fascism, Nazism, or the other major 19th century ideology that suppresses the individual: communism.

Hitler portrayed peopl (whether social or individualistic, he’s not entirely clear) as locked in perpetual, often violent, competition. That worldview is fundamentally at odds with Rousseau's idea of the 'natural man.
