Qualifications have been dumbed down to the point where they're meaningless these days. The rot set in in the UK when they introduced the GCSE, to replace the O-levels. So stupidly easy was the GCSE that people called it the General Certificate Sent to Everybody. I remember my Chemistry teacher bringing in the very first GCSE paper. I and two friends completed it with an A* just calling out the answers as he read out the questions to us in about 15-20 minutes.
We were disgusted because the paper came with a handout which included a periodic table and most of the shit we'd had to memorise for our O-levels.
About 8 years after I was done with high school I got a job as an examinations officer at a college. I had to book the exams and order the papers. I'd read the papers when they arrived to check them for spelling errors and such. I could have a list of qualifications as long as my arm, had I sat the papers myself. Some of them are fucking absurdly easy.
Colour me unimpressed by this girl.
