Well, there's an issue about getting old. There's this thing called neuroplasticity, neuroplasticity is responsible for the adapting ability a brain has and it is also related to you cognitive abilities such as learning. The thing is as you get older your slowly loses this neuroplasticity which means you are uncapable of absorbing or learning new things, basically your brain becomes rigid.
