Dating discourse
Is it just me, or is the online dating discourse (often driven by women) quite narcissistic? I mean, they label genuinely caring for your partner—listening to him, offering encouragement, and similar acts—as 'emotional labor.' Or they take objectively positive traits, like giving gifts, planning dates, or treating you well, and dismiss them as 'the bare minimum.

"Emotional labor" is really code for "my boyfriend's a pussy who confides in me too much about shit I should never know about." The worst mistake you can make when dating anyone is trusting them with personal shit, especially things about your past that you wouldn't want most to know. Never see your partner as someone you can/should vent to and most of your problems with dating are solved.
