the government itself is dystfuctional in all aspect, it doesn't even need an external enemy to collapse. hell, if there was no external threat there would be no millitary tech to develop and export and the economy would go to shit. all this tech is obviously funded by tax money, once there's no longer an excuse to tax so heavily the whole "high tech nation" bullshit will just disappear, and the Israeli economy heavily relies on it.

I don't think you understand just how dysfunctional it is. external threats keep it going, war and terrorism keep it going, internal friction keeps it going, having Palis to test shit on and do experiments on keeps it going. it's like a live testing ground/factory for all sorts of weapons and dystopic mass control methods, other nations are only interested in Israel because they use this "lab" for their own illegal shit, or just use Israeli millitary tech. once the threats are gone this whole business model is gone.
