They lost it years ago. The people there voted by a 95% margin to join Russia.

In what way is it theirs? They don't control it. The people there don't want to be a part of their country. They left in the first place because the President they elected was ousted in a coup. And now the Ukrainians don't even have election any more.

What possible claim could they have on Crimea?

Ukraine gave up its nuclear capabilities in exchange for security guarantees.
They're worth nothing, especially not when the US betrays its allies so readily.

Always has been. Ukraine is a fake country with borders that emerged from the collapse of the Soviet Union. Eastern Ukraine has always been ethnically, culturally, and linguistically Russian. It was idiotic to make that region a part of the new country Ukraine and not Russia.

Yeah maybe you two should start at home first before you try to liberate us like you did the last time, which by the way is why we are now constantly having more and more of niggers and muslims coming and being subverted by jews and amerizog rot.

I don't see how this benefits Putin. He wants to keep going. And any country that has fought against Russians becomes so bitterly entrenched against them, having waves of idiotic Z trash getting dumped in their direction. The drones hitting civilians. And the number of Russian generals and commanders that Ukrainian special forces have killed, I'd be surprised there isn't deep bitterness from the Russians now, beyond the old foolhardy Imperial Russian shit they keep in their briefs to waddle around in.

So no, I doubt war's over. I seriously doubt it. More political theater. Trump, Zelensky, and Putin do not speak the same political language and their goals are so vastly different. Expect more daily drone bombings, major sabotage works, grinding infantry combat, potential Russian gains in land territory while their backend gets raped and Russian civilians screech more as drones hit apartment buildings.

I bet it drags on for years more until China somehow starts shit with Trump and it really pops off.

Putin doesn't want to lose face.

Myth.
The ukraine had nukes in its territories but didn't really have control over them. All the nukes in the former soviet states and its allies were in under Russian control.

Anonymous (ID: TYjRasjJ) United Kingdom No.513344129
Crimea is long gone, jesus christ what are we worried about crimea for, they will never get that back, they tried a southern offensive under kherson and got absolutely slammed not even a mile into it.
They ended up being blown to pieces by mines and completely fizzled out.

I don't even like Russia and can safely say a Crimea concession is not even a big ask.

What happened to all that Soviet tech they're proud of claiming and harping on about.
