Remember when the fall of Bakhmut would lead to rapid gains?
The "last fortress of the Donbas" it was in its day. At least we got the Wagner rebellion out of that meatgrind.

cope. Russia is dead. The russian race will never demographically recover from this. They were already dying. Nice "win". They already had ALL of Ukraine last century. They self suicided to get a little sliver of the land holdings back that they already had. Losers. Simple as.

You would think from their attitude that Russia was a small country with no natural resources and a high birth rate. They just need more land and stuff to dig out of the ground so badly apparently, and no amount of dead Russians is too much to get that. It's very strange.

Chasiv Yar is an important area by the way, it is a high point and key surrounding areas can be shelled from there. The Ukrainians were right to contest it but they have lost the battle for it.

>It's very strange.
It's called pride. A pride of the ruling class.
Putin and all the 70/80/90 years old necrotic power liches in KGB FSB around him wanted to restore the "glory" and "might" of soviet union russia/imperial russia.
To reconquer the old borders and vanquish the people within bordering countries
To be a mighty murderous super power that people bow down to out of fear.

The reality check that they can't achieve that shit doesn't stop them from trying to follow their dreams.
By the way, regular russians are the same way as their elites. They are willing to die to restore "stronk russia superpower empire" title. They get off it.

You're welcome anon. I am paying the bills today for this thread. Enjoy your free speech. It's not like I hate the Ukrainian people, I met many along the way. To answer your original question unsarcastically, it makes sense because these people are the same people in reality, they get along. I am involved with both Russian people and Ukrainian people in my personal life. The conflict has artificial roots. Ukraine lost though and in order for healing to begin, it is time to move on under a new administration.
