Kids are a massive commitment, unless you treat them like shit. So its a burden lots of thoughtful people dont want. Birth control is easily attained. Combine these factors with the mass immigration, offshored jobs, automation, and you have subsistence living in formerly first-world nations. people dont want to bring new humans into this mess
