Recession is official, stock market crash within 2 months
Look at this. The GeForce RTX 5090 is now widely available for MSRP. Last month they were trying to sell it for +$800.
This is unironically a recession indicator of primary importance.
When even the hardcore enthusiast nerds don't want the top-of-the-line hardware at rock-bottom prices you know it's because they just don't have the money.
These are usually highly educated workers with high-paying jobs.

NJudea isn't selling any of their server hardware either.
Inflation is raping society and causing people to assassinate CEOs and other executives.
They will pop the AI bubble to appease the masses before too many of the management class get made an example of.

All modern game engines are the same, everything is made by shitskins and jews.
They literally make them inefficient on purpose.
They need to sustain the cycle of consumerism to maintain the illusion of an organic industry.
If there isn't always better hardware that you need then you are forced to start asking questions.
That is not good for the social engineering objectives of the jewish central planners.
You are not supposed to ask questions, you are supposed to consume and forget your questions.

The reason everything is shit is very simple. Modern industry is tailored to braindead consumers. It just mimics past cultural artifacts that are proven to stimulate the basest instincts and modifies them to be more manipulative.
Soul doesn't matter, purpose doesn't matter, no one needs your money, it's printed infinitely by the jewish central bank to fund all their social engineering objectives.

I bought a 5090 at launch for $2700 with the intent to play with it then scalp it.
Literally no one wanted it. There was zero market for those things (at high prices) outside of ebay, which was all chinks scamming the ebay guarantee to steal the card and return a brick to you.
So I tried generating AI slop and modern slop for a month and then returned that piece of shit for a full refund.

5080 performs almost as well as the 4090, but neither comes close to the 5090. Granted, with new games like BF6, a 5080 or 4090 is still going to give you like 120 frames in 4k and 200+ in 1440p. A 5090 though is really only the card that can truly make use of unfiltered, native 4K. But I really don’t think it’s worth it. People shit on DLSS but the reality is that the new cards are all built with DLSS in mind. With all that being said, I’m still going to upgrade my 5080 to a 5090 because of graphics autism.

Adjusted for inflation, $700 from back then is a $1000. And top of the line GPU then isn't equivalent to a top of the line GPU now.

That 1080 Ti, for example, has a 470 square mm die... A 5090 has a 750 square mm die. Even if you assume TSMC charges the exact same amount for wafer today as they charged for wafer then, that's 60% more.

So just adjusting for retail inflation (and not TSMC/production inflation) and die size, all else being equal a 5090 should be at least $1600.

5060ti is 16GB of Vram versus 10GB of Vram for a 3080. A lot of the older cards are going to struggle due to the Vram demands even if they are faster cards. The sad part is games are more lazy in design, games in the past had to be designed with low expectations of the tech in PC's

Retard, 60 series is mid range, 50 series is budget, 80 series is top of the line and 90 series is top of line overclocked. Nvidia has used the same numbering scheme for 15+ years until the 4000 series came out where they downgraded their entire product line. The top of the line card has only been good for two generations forever now, the 5060 should absolutely be on par with a 3080 and it would be if it wasn't really a 5050 being upsold as a mid range card.

SB is amazingly optimized but it does fill up a ton on vram due to giant texture sizes. I was reaching the limit on pretty low texture settings with an 8GB card so it’s a portent of how much more video memory I need to get.

Maybe should have kept it, imagine the Gothic / Risen quality games you'll be able to make with a vague storyline/aesthetic prompt in AI in a couple of years?

Wrong. Lowering interest rates = assets appreciate. Stock market doesn't care. Same thing was being said in 2020 and trump will do anything to prevent a recession since it makes him look bad. He doesn't care that it will cause 30% to 40% inflation again. Too old to care.

They had a 1800sft "studio" I was looking at that was a vaulted celling brock walled industrial loft feel for like 200k. Looks like it would have been an Awesome place to live if it wasn't a 3k a month HOA. xD

>They will pop the AI bubble to appease the masses before too many of the management class get made an example of.

I really wonder how this is going to play out. Are they just going to admit Capitalism has failed? It's pretty clear society has been in gridlock for years now.

I'm just going to stick with my Xbox one since it's pretty much the best for gaming.
