GREGGPOSTING
Over the past 1,010 days of full-scale war, Russia has managed to occupy less than one percent of Ukraine's territory.
On November 12, 2022, the enemy controlled 108,651 square kilometers of Ukraine.
Today, the corresponding figure is 114,493 square kilometers. This means that an additional 5,842 squarekilometers have come under occupation - equivalent to just under 1 percent (0.97%) of Ukraine's internationally recognized territory.
In the initial stages of the war, the Russians made significant advances.
However, thanks to Ukrainian counteroffensives in the north and in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, significant areas were recaptured.
After November 2022, Russia continued its offensive operations, with Bakhmut being one of the most famous examples.
These attacks are still ongoing today, albeit with interruptions.
The hope in Ukraine is that these figures will be noticed by our American partners, their own calculations are a bit lame.

Zelenskyy is walking into the White House today with the leaders of the UK, France, Germany, and the EU.
They are there to present a united front against any land-for-peace deal.
The "surrender" you're celebrating is Putin being confronted by the leaders of Europe's most powerful nations, who are all backing Ukraine.

Your information is six months out of date.
The US briefly paused intel sharing in March after the February meeting. It was fully restored.
During that pause, France tried to fill the gap and learned a hard lesson: 15 French military satellites cannot replace the 246 US satellites.
The European leaders are in Washington today not to sideline the US, but because they know they cannot win this war without American intelligence and military power. This is a united front, not a divided one.

No. If they had, they would have already used it to push Trump to end the war. What they have is entire former KGB/FSB spook leadership skilled at subversion, bullshitting and spook shit while the US administration is led by a childfucking ego-drived nepobaby and his yesmen/women grifters with no political skills whatsoever. USA lost without even firing a shot. Also next year is the 250th anniversary of USA, out of all choices for US president its gonna be Trump to celebrate quarter of a century of that country. Symbolism here goes pretty fucking hard lmao.

Turns out there is a benefit in intentionally keeping most of your serfs at near-poverty levels - when you present them with unimaginable (by poccian standarts) money for a seemingly 30-minute frontline adventure, you'd have A LOT of gullible retards signing up for a chance to set their own life straight.

What I wonder about though is at what point do the deaths and disappearances start hitting home? They might be poor and easy to mislead, but at the end of the day, agreeing to die for money isnโt something most people would do. Unless Iโm missing the extent of the problem there. Which I could be, and wow is that grim too.

Noone said anything about shooting Zeleboba. He is the president of the fucking US who is famously known to be a badboy "fuck the rules" type of guy. Its not like MAGA would turn on him just just fucking out of Ukraine saying "well its not our conflict lmao, fuck eastern europe", he has no opposition in the US (democrats are fucking dead). Truth is he wanted to be seen as a peacemaker, he adores Putin and hates Zelensky for not throwing Biden Jr. under the bus BUT at that point he still wanted to get the nobel peace price while not completely fucking over Ukraine since the sheer amout of US resources that went there (hence the mineral deal which to me seemed as a hedge position for if (when) negotiations fail.

Not really, but it's the cheapest and easiest way to put a sustainer jet engine on your missile without having to do intakes on the front of the missile itself.
You don't need to reinvent the wheel, especially if you're just going for maximum amount. It's just like how they're not using expensive bespoke drone designs but rather off the shelf shit.

Thatโs what Iโm wondering about. As in telling someone theyโre going to die in a horrible way in a foreign country isnโt something you can typically get someone to agree to. Thatโs just one of the many reasons defensive wars tend to be more successful than offensive ones. Iโm probably missing some elements of the psychology and sociology there though. Maybe I should just start assuming all the homo Sovieticus stuff is 100% accurate.

Thing is, they don't know just how bad it is on the frontlines. Sure, money lottery ticket where you bet your own life is one thing; but. They think they will be killing 10 "hohols" per day, they consider this like US trip to Iraq, albeit slightly more dangerous. They might even consider Ukraine like a region during active uprising. They are divorced from the reality, like trannies. Only when they get to the frontline trench, they discover: "it's not like what they show on the TV". They don't know they sign up for dodging drones. They don't want to know. They are proud of their ignorance, even.

You definitely are.
Any place at about 100km away from Moscow or Pidorsburg is an absolute shithole still living in early soviet/late tsardom level of tech, most with no way of ever seeing progress past that point, so you can imagine the desperation there. I'd estimate thatpuccia has already grinded close to half of villages/city-type settlements to a fully abandoned status, but unless they *really* start touching the capitals, no one will notice the missing, at least until war ends.

Pressuring Ukraine hasn't worked the first time, has already resulted in bad optics, and Zelensky has european leaders pushing for him as well.
I don't see how pressuring Ukraine is easier.

What amazes me is how Russia and those countries trapped in its orbit have done so poorly, and those that left Moscowโs orbit have done so comparatively well. If the war goes any longer and ukies manage to at least double the casualty rate as per Madyar's plan, then Pootin would be left with no choice but to grab the rich serfs from the capitals. It *is* happening via shadow mobilization, but kept to a very limited degree for said capitals to not aggravate the population early, something something boil the frog slowly. My guess is the further you go into siberian regional cities, the more prominent the FSB mobik grabbing becomes.

The leaders of the UK, France, Germany, and the EU flew to Washington for the specific purpose of rejecting that plan.
Your prediction is that Europe's leaders will land, walk into the Oval Office, and immediately agree to the exact thing they flew across the ocean to prevent.

Poland was really unruly even throughout the communist period, I would go ahead and say our commies just paid off kacaps so they fuck off and did their own thing. Which makes sense, as we were separate country and not on the exact frontline (East Germany was a buffer). Hell, there are theories that martial law in the early 80's was put in to avoid the "brotherly help" from Red Army, as it happened in Hungary and Czechslovakia.
Also, us West Slavs were always resourceful people, also, being outside the USSR proper helped with cutting ties with Muscovy easily. Belarus and Ukraine weren't so lucky.

because you are catholics and not orthodox, orthodox church serves the state and the ruler, ultimate bootlicker, while catholic church serves the vatican, so there was always a need for balance, and serfs could even ask for help from the church, unlike in russia for example, where there is no protection on confession for example, and a priest must report any "bad" behaviour, like not liking the current tsar and etc.

https://youtu.be/5WjGcr9KJEQ?si=szHOv5XA3_ghh0Wq here, an example. During Brezhnev, they built another train line across the Siberia (if Chinese would attack, their first line would be easily captured because it's close to the border. Thus they built a second one). A "temporary" bridge has been built, before modern installation was put in the place next to it. The villages there are either working at train station/conservation, or are simply doing nothing, without any perspectives whatsoever. The only connection here to the world is a train. Expensive one, too. From what I saw, it's at least 5 times more expensive than Polish train to transport any goods. Thus, everyone is forced to use "temporary" bridge. It's cheaper to risk your life over a shabby bridge instead of paying money for a train in a relatively good shape. ... Temporary bridge isn't free either, but I suppose locals don't have to pay the bridge toll (~200โฌ).

I guess I just look at the stats that come from the western aligned former Warsaw pact states and those that couldnโt fully escape. The Baltics, Poland, Czechia, Slovenia, etc, theyโre all doing markedly better than anyone still stuck dealing with Russia. Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus. Poorer, shorter life expectancy, and so on. Though with you guys as a template I think Ukraine might do pretty well after this war is over and theyโre hopefully closer to Europe.

I think the orthodox issue is a bit more complicated, it must be more dependant on the specific orthodox church rather than orthodoxy in general. Look at Greece, for example, but I suspect there can be influence from Athenian democracy and as such their culture is more freedom-oriented. Byzantines being absolute fucking assholes might have also helped.

i believe it. Putin is throwing all the money into the war machine and military contractors are paying really well to any retard who is capable of moving bomb production forward. millions of gold digging whores who got their LADAs and apartments are currently probably living the best they ever have or will in the future as they are burning through the windfall from their cubed husbands.
parties are really fun a few hours in when everyone is intoxicated and doesn't think of consequences. the problem with that is that parties have to end at some point due to constraints of reality.
also, any factory worker drone retard in Germany lives better than any of these "satisfied Russians". let's not even get into the comparison of the middle class.

Fun fact:
Russia got its ass kicked back in 2008. Destroyed columns, destroyed planes, injured general, dead zigers, etc.
They weren't ready and cried a lot how everything went to shit.
Peepoo signed a peace treaty immidieately, without any demands like recognition or anything.
Till this day they cope about being close to Tbilisi, just like they were close to Kyiv.

>Central command is in moscow, that loots everything from their outer territories. People outside the rulers exist only to collect resources and ship them to moscow.
Centralization is a sign of absolutism. Together with the single leader having full power over all subordinates.
Feudalism's key point is the chain of command that dos not allow, or at least severely hinders, commanding over-the-head.

There's some good irony in how POCCNR based its entire anti-Ukraine propaganda on "muh banderonazi regime", but once the war ends there is a very high chance that some actual far-right Azov member will come to presidency as a reactionary shift of power, and pozzia will have no one but itself to blame for it, even through it had all chances to amend things once pro-peace Zel was elected.

You get several written accounts of European travellers from across the Europe, and they describe Polish peasants acting like modern day Africans when volunteers come to their village. No, that wasn't the norm in Europe. Unironically, early medieval times were better for our peasants than late renaissance: there was higher social mobility back then, and even occasional marriages between nobility and peasantry. Later though, when nobility was less busy fighting off Teutonic Knights and more busy with sitting on their arse at their local village they owned - they became glorified merchants and managers, slowly raising hours, taxation, and after 400 years they didn't even consider their peasants as human anymore. Before ลokietek, a peasant could "open a civil case" against a noble and even win; later though noble would kill such a peasant on a spot, and nothing would happen to the noble.
Trivia: "chลop" means slave. Proper, neutral meaning word for a peasant would be "kmieฤ". Nobility insulted peasantry as slaves for so long, the initial insult has been forgotten to the ages.
Did you never asked a question, why Russians think we are just like them? Well, because for the most of our history, that was actually the case.

>After all, you guys have been fighting for your independence for how long?
123 years from third partition until the end of The Great War. And in between three uprisings against Muscovy (funny, thing, ONLY against them because they really fucking sucked at this whole country managing shit).
>Though with you guys as a template I think Ukraine might do pretty well after this war is over and theyโre hopefully closer to Europe.
I mean, the biggest issue that Ukraine faces now is still having the Homo Sovieticus deeply engrained in their populace. If they could go our way after fall of Soviet Union, they would be even stronger state than Poland with all their natural resources. Hell, most issues with Ukrainians being in Poland (I do not deny there are some) stem from the ghost of Lenin still peeking over their shoulders. We can only try to somehow direct the societal change by punishing outliers (like this situation with unironic banderist nationalists on this concert in Warsaw a week ago, 50 people were deported for being aggressive retards), hoping that when monke finally gets a dildo of consequence they can finally develop freely.
Also, one thing that our basement dweller pseudonationalists tend to forget in their spastic rants about "muh bandera" - whole fucking thing started BECAUSE Ukraine wanted to integrate with Europe. I doubt they will drop it the moment Ruskies quit and start trying to attack other countries. Makes no sense, especially taken how much help came from behind the border. We gave them all old Soviet crap we still had and keep our airports and transit routes open for aid to come in and together with a wish to partake in the bounties of united Europe pretty much makes sure they will be our staunt allies for at least few hundred years, and it's about time to be honest.

As others have pointed out, this is partly because Russia left feudalism only last century and then fell straight into commie absolutism. They are quite literally white niggers. English peasants or example started challenging feudalism from the 14th century and won important concessions, that eventually provide a pathway out of feudalism

A hint for you, it's propaganda numbers inflated sky high. Both Russia and Ukraine claims to recruit 20k-30k soldiers every month, yet it's the Russian army that is growing while the Ukranian is having critical manpower issues. Where did all these Ukranian soldiers go?

You are correct. They are not the same.
Receiving advanced weaponry from the world's most powerful industrial economies is a sign of strategic partnership.
A nation claiming to be a military superpower having to buy defective 50-year-old artillery shells from a bankrupt hermit kingdom is a sign of catastrophic industrial failure.
It is not a choice. It is an act of desperation by a state that has burned through its stockpiles and whose own military-industrial complex has collapsed.

You're right to laugh. Let's review the evidence of this functional military-industrial complex.
Aviation: Sanctions have forced Russia into systemic "cannibalization," stripping its own civilian airliners for spare parts just to keep a fraction of the fleet flying. The domestic production program is a failure, with zero new Superjets or MC-21s delivered.
Oil Refining: As of this month, Ukrainian drone strikes have crippled up to 17% of Russia's refining capacity. Major facilities like the Ryazan and Novokuibyshevsk refineries are offline, forcing Russia to export cheap crude instead of valuable refined products and causing domestic fuel prices to surge 30%.
Armor: Having lost thousands of modern tanks, Russia is pulling 70-year-old T-54/55 tanks from Cold War storage. Its production capacity for new armor is estimated at only 100-150 units per year, a catastrophic failure. By 2026, the stockpile of restorable vehicles will be completely exhausted.
Finance: Three of China's four largest state banks, including the Bank of China, have halted or severely restricted transactions with Russian entities to avoid US secondary sanctions. An estimated 98% of yuan-denominated transactions from Russia are now being rejected.
This is not a functioning MIC. It is a cascading, systemic organ failure. But please, keep laughing. It's good optics.

Correct. Russia produces a "hypersonic weapon."
It is an Iskander ballistic missile strapped to an aging MiG. It costs millions of dollars per unit. It gets shot down by the American Patriot system, a technology from the 1980s.
This is not a sign of technological superiority. It is the signature of a state burning its budget to produce expensive garbage that does not work, while its ground army is issued 70-year-old tanks and North Korean ammunition.

Alright, beige, listen up and listen good. You're going to learn something today.
The Kh-47M2 Kinzhal is an Air-Launched Ballistic Missile. That is its literal, technical designation. The United States was developing these, like the AGM-48 Skybolt, in the 1960s. This is not new technology; you are just profoundly ignorant.
Your semantic quibble is a pathetic attempt to distract from the core fact: your multi-million dollar "invincible" weapon, a ballistic missile strapped to a jet, is consistently shot down by a 40-year-old American air defense system.
The only failed piece of automated technology here is the guidance system on your Wunderwaffe. Now drop and give me twenty. You've embarrassed yourself enough for one day, Azuca.

You do not understand. At all.
You are shilling for a multiracial empire that is flooding its cities with Central Asian migrants to replace the white men it sends to die.
You are shilling for a state that uses Chechen Muslim battalions and Buryat Mongols as shock troops to slaughter white Slavs in Ukraine.
You are shilling for a regime whose birthrate has collapsed so completely that it is now begging for millions of laborers from India to keep its economy from imploding.
Russia is not "protecting" itself from what happened to the West. It is actively and deliberately pursuing the exact same policies of demographic replacement, but funding it with the blood of its own Slavic population. It is the greatest enemy of European ethnogenesis on the planet.
You are not a nationalist. You are a useful idiot for a ZOG regime in Moscow.

US interventionist foreign policy backfired by disarming Ukraine via the 1994 Budapest Memorandum, leaving it vulnerable to Russia's 2022 invasion despite security pledges. Non-interventionist principles (Jefferson, Ron Paul) would likely have avoided such pressure, allowing Ukraine to retain nukes as a deterrent, averting war through mutual assured destruction. This exemplifies interventionist blowback vs. principles of non-interventionism.

The nukes on Ukrainian soil were never Ukraine's to keep.
The command, control, and launch codes remained in Moscow. They were Soviet assets on Ukrainian territory, not a Ukrainian arsenal.
Your "non-interventionist" fantasy where Ukraine tries to seize control of Moscow's nuclear weapons doesn't avert war. It guarantees a Russian invasion in 1992 to secure the arsenal, which would have been even more catastrophic.
The problem isn't the piece of paper signed in 1994. The problem is the gangster state that violated its own signature to invade a country it swore to protect.

You're looking at a burning apartment building and you think you've scored a point. That's adorable, beige.
Let me explain this to you slowly, since you're clearly struggling. This is called 'cost-benefit analysis'.
Russia spends hundreds of millions of dollars on missiles to terrorize civilians. A few get through. That is the cost of war.
Ukraine spends a few thousand dollars on drones that fly 800km and set fire to your strategic oil refineries, crippling your economy and your ability to fuel your army.
You are focused on a burning apartment block. We are focused on your burning war machine. One of these things ends the war. It is not the apartment block. Do you understand now, or do I need to use smaller words?

You see fires, private. You don't see the balance sheet. Pay attention.
The footage you're seeing is from cheap Iranian Shaheds and old subsonic cruise missiles. Their job is to cause terror and overwhelm defenses. That's attrition warfare.
The Kinzhal is different. It's a multi-million dollar "invincible" weapon designed to take out hardened, high-value military targets. That's its only job.
Every time Russia uses its most expensive, advanced weapon to hit an apartment block instead of a command bunker, it is a catastrophic failure. They are using a Formula 1 car to deliver a pizza because their delivery scooters keep getting destroyed.
You see a fire and you cheer. A strategist sees a bankrupt military burning its last rubles on a failed PR stunt. You are not a strategist, beige.

The codes point is cope. Nukes arenโt magic buttons in Moscow, theyโre physical arsenals, warheads, missiles, delivery systems. If Ukraine hadnโt been strong-armed into surrendering them under U.S. pressure, it couldโve maintained deterrence just like India, Pakistan, or North Korea did. Funny how none of them got invaded. Interventionism forced Ukraine to trade real leverage for worthless paper guarantees, and the result was predictable: war. Thatโs blowback 101.

Let's review the operational checklist for "maintaining deterrence," shall we?
Warhead Maintenance: The Soviet-era warheads required a vast, specialized industrial complex for upkeep, particularly for replenishing tritium. Ukraine lacked this requisite infrastructure in 1994 and had no capacity to build it. Without maintenance, the warheads become unreliable, decaying radiological hazards.
Command & Control: The Permissive Action Links (PALs) and launch codes were not "cope." They were an integrated, Moscow-controlled system. Bypassing them would have required a multi-year, multi-billion dollar reverse-engineering project, assuming it was even possible without rendering the warheads inert.
Delivery Systems: The ICBMs on Ukrainian soil were aimed at the United States. Reprogramming them to target Russia was not a trivial matter. They were not a functional deterrent against the state that built and controlled them.
Your comparison to India and Pakistan is invalid. They built their arsenals indigenously over decades. Your "non-interventionist" scenario involves a newly independent, economically shattered state attempting to seize control of a foreign nuclear arsenal, which would have made it an international pariah state, sanctioned into oblivion by the entire world.
The choice was not between "nukes" and "no nukes." It was between becoming a functional state or an isolated pariah with a stockpile of decaying, unusable Soviet scrap. The file on this matter was closed in 1994 for these reasons. Your memo is noted.

it's quite honestly pathetic. trump has no problem throwing the US' weight around to bully its allies, but cowers when it comes to dealing with RU. US is much stronger than RU, all trump has to do is assert that instead of treating RU as equal.

You're focused on fingers.
Lieutenant General Esedulla Abachev, deputy commander of Russia's 'Sever' group, just suffered the traumatic amputation of both his legs and an arm in a strike in Kursk.
This is how an outgunned military achieves a 14:1 kill ratio. Not by trading rifle fire, but by using superior intelligence to systematically dismember the enemy's command structure.
One side is dealing with name-calling on the internet. The other is dealing with its generals being returned home in pieces. The asymmetry is the entire point.
