does this have a solution? what should be the optimal political organization going into the future? nation-states don't seem to work anymore to fight against this stuff

Accept it and redirect 'migration' into africa and asia. Don't just take a defensive position, actively partake in it and flood china, india, israel, the congo etc. with immigrants.
