In light of recent events, are self driving trucks the future?

>360° field of vision so no dead corners
>Can drive throughout the night, massively reducing traffic during the day/rush hour
>Also fewer accidents due to less taffic on the road at night
>No need to import third worlders with questionable skills
>Eliminates one of the most draining and dangerous jobs on the market

Although some chosen AI researcher rated himself at thinking one million times more than a high schooler, in reality, there is no big difference between reliably driving a road vehicle and doing any skill-based work men do. I'd be surprised when it's more than a factor of ten. Mathematical operations per time per price of chips still rises almost exponentially, at least at geometric rates, it's just a matter of access to the data.

>When the need for something becomes imperative, you are forced to find ways of getting or achieving it.

A few hundred families getting obliterated means nothing to the businesses that pull the strings of legislators. The elite are willing to sacrifice entire nations to pursue their personal interests. Why innovate and invest if there's a cheaper alternative? Economic migrants are cheaper than autonomous systems. It's the cheapest path, and the path of least resistance.

Get ready for infinity Indians. And it's not just for truck driving.

I'm guessing they've already bitched about not having enough labor that wants to drive?

Retards don't realize there has never been a shortage of labor and its actually good for workers if there is a mild labor shortage because it forces employers to compete for employees.
