Except that most of these kids getting free lunches at school are the children of people who are getting SNAP/EBT handouts to pay for their food anyway.
Giving the kids a cafeteria meal at school is better than giving even more money to their parents to misuse. If anything, they should expand this and reopen the cafeteria for the parents to get a free meal after school and get rid of all of the EBT type handouts completely.
