Truth-seeking. Not being emotionally attached to any particular belief, and have the humility to be able to change your views if your belief is proven wrong.

Empathy and social skills (no, being "autistic" doesn't make you smart, most autists are literal retards).

And the most important: success in life. The ability to set goals and succeed at them.
If you're broke, unhappy and unsuccessful, you're probably retarded or have no priorities.

Empathy (and thus social skills) is one of the highest order functions of the brain, and it takes a lot of brainpower.
The problem is that this kind of intelligence can hardly be quantified with a score like IQ tests do and so midwits pretend it doesn't exist.

IQ tests are not the end-all-be-all of intelligence. They are only great at detecting low IQ retards in the lower end of the spectrum that can't even solve simple pattern recognition puzzles.
Really intelligent people end up developing skills like goal setting, time management, social circle management that grant them massive success in life.

IQ measures pattern recognition, so usually high IQ people second guess themselves a lot because they're more calculated. They're usually quick witted, racist and very judgemental.

But i think the biggest sign is they are quick to learn basic concepts, but it takes them much longer to master skills, and because of this, they become much more proficient than a normal person with equal duration of practice

When I listen to radio interviews I used to fall for the 'answer a different question' trick but I'm getting less incompetent at spotting that and other tricks. An intelligent person would quickly notice these verbal sleights of hand and be able to dismantle them.
An intelligent person would also be able to do the same trickery and successfully communicate what they planned to communicate.

For a while, I worked at a government agency where a LOT of very high IQ people worked. And at some point they made everyone take an EQ test. Really more like a survey than a test. Most of the questions were things along the lines of "I consider other people's emotions when I interact with them."
But the interesting part was after the test, pretty much everyone fell into one of two groups:
The high EQ people who thought "yes, of course I do all that stuff all the time" and the autistic people who were like "wait, what, how can you even do that?"

I was told I was high this by a bunch of psychologists. they specifically said it was high emotional iq I was not general high iq. To me emotional intelligence just feels like common sense to me. I never personally saw myself as being some high emotional intelligence person. I just sort of get along with everyone and always know what to say to people to make them feel better. But I actually internally hate everyone and want to kms.
