SSI vs Disability

I'm currently on SSI. Why do you need work credits to be on disability? That shit is SO fucking retarded. Fuck boomers. They need to change the law so it is just DISABILITY!

Disability is entitlement, SSI is welfare. You are on welfare, you are not ENTITLED to SSDI because you did not earn the entitlement through paying taxes.

My brother got approved for disability recently and he hardly ever worked his whole adult life at 49 years old. He only gets like 940 a month

At 49 years old one of your parents could be dead, if one is he can apply for much more money due to the taxes your father/mother paid into the system. Even being on disability prior to that he can still do that.
