Everything here in Europe is ideology based. It is not based on reality.
In a perfect world none of this would have happened, but it did. And in a perfect world Russia would withdraw, go back to Russia, and pay for all the damages done. But they wont.

In a political point of view, this will be considered a loss against Russia. And a loss against Russia also mean weak leadership considering all the weapons and money spent on all of this.

You have to remember that Russia is a shit economy compared to Europe. I think Russia is around 2T and EU is about 20T. And then we add The US, and combined that will make Russia a truly irrelevant economy as a whole.
So this will only mean that the way politics and government is run here and in The West, is so shitty that regardless of who invades it, we wont be able to stand against it.

I don't think people really realize what massive the comparison here really is. Money wise, weapon wise, people wise, Europe and The US should in theory have been able to end this a long time ago, but it does not. And it most likely will not.

Leadership and leaders in countries reflect the majority of the people since they are the ones voting for these people. And when it has become so liberal as it has, you know its gonna get bad, and this is a living proof of it.

The European leadership wants to keep NATO alive and American presence in Europe as a stabilizing force. It's also a major blow to legitimacy of the EU and all the warhawks who've talked massive shit the last three years, it's hard to reverse that kind of position without a new generation of leaders likely from different political parties.
